Democracy for Florida

Great news coming out of Florida today! The right of Florida to maintain a secret list of suspected felons despite a demonstrated pattern of inaccuracy in that list and a demonstrated racial bias in their criminal system seemed to indicate that one state of our Union had effectively ended its experiment with what we might term "democracy."

It's a relief that a court has stepped in to demand compliance by the state with the people's right to know in advance whether they have been determined ineligible to vote, and to contest that determination BEFORE it deprives them of their suffrage.
