Friday Horse Race

In the Tradesports exchange, Bush has continued his gradual slide. The Bush Industrial Average (the price of one contract in every state) has finally fallen back below 3000, standing at 2982.6. This is a significant loss from his position two weeks ago but still well above his nadirs from mid-summer:

Odds

Bush: Strong - 274; Weak - 21; Total - 295
Kerry: Strong - 243; Weak - 0; Total - 243

In the averaged polls, Bush's lead dropped dramatically, as he shed almost a million projected votes throughout the country (cutting his lead in the anticipated popular vote by half). His support has softend in almost 50 electoral votes worth of states, and several states which had started leaning his way have started bending back to Kerry. He does still maintain a decent projected lead in the electoral college.

Polls

Bush: Strong - 191; Weak - 98; Total - 289
Kerry: Strong - 196; Weak - 53; Total - 249
